Randy Snodgress, the owner of Arena Werks in Joshua, Texas, knows that every arena is different around the world.

Arena Werks started from a simple desire: Randy needed a drag when he used to train show horses, so he built one. Then a friend wanted one, then a neighbor, and the rest is drag history. The original round harrow that was developed came from designs from horse-drawn rotary harrows, then people requested some changes.

People said, "I like your drag, but I wish it did this." From this desire was born the Arena Werks II (the Arena Werks with the buggy), the Arena Werks Jr, and the H2O Pro (with water). [The idea behind the original Arena Werks] is simple. It rotates around and around breaking up un-even clumps of dirt , spinning them around and depositing them in the low spots. It will grab all the dirt that gets thrown up on the rail around the arena fence and deposit it back into the middle of the arena. The result is a smooth, level finish on the entire arena.

Randy Snodgress knows that different kinds of dirt require different approaches. There are five different models for different kinds of dirt. If you have clay or black gumbo, the same type of drag will not work. Arena Werks offers a model for each different kind of ground for various applications and fits them to the individual and their needs.

Randy says, "It's a product that people love! When they call and order, they know what they want; they saw it at a show or at their neighbor's or trainer's or friend's house and want one, so most of our business is referral or repeat. We're kind of spoiled in that it's nice to sell something that somebody calls and already knows what they want. Then when they get it, they call back and thank you because they love it!"

Snodgress conludes, "What's on our drags and in our ads is Proverbs 16:3 which says, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plan shall succeed." We know this business is truly His.
